Believe it or not, I had come up with this exact idea for my second animation, its about half done with a more traditional style of animating (with outlines and stuff) but in mine he cuts Navi in half with a sword and then is confronted by a giant Gannon and then Link has the cutsy anime face of shock saying "what do I do now?" then the tears start streaming. you beat me to it (the joke is simple enough though), well done on the animation!
Correction
Good advise i have had the trouble of being too epic, all my ideas seem to drag on so long that i just lose interest and delete what ive done. (it gets very frustrating when that happens as im sure most of you know)
oh and Gordon dose say "yeah" and "you and me both" in reply to some of the conversations with the other rebels.

This animation was quite refreshing, i liked the references to other shows in there, also your use of detail was good. The only way of outshining the bad animations is to put the effort in and you clearly have.

Sir Weebl never disappoints 9 out of 10 members of an audience. The ideas no matter how overused are always seemingly fresh and interesting with two different sized eggs and a purple background. *Applauds*

I appriciate the effort that would have gone into this but i dont see a point to it, perhaps you should try to make your own characters, as that would go down better to a crowd than a song with familiar characters dance around to out of context
